Sault

Sault forms the eastern gateway to Mont Ventoux. The town is located on the so-called Albion plateau at about 700 meters above sea level. Sault is the most important place in the area and a nice place to stay. The weekly market takes place on Wednesday and is definitely worth the visit.

In addition to the center of sale of lambs and wool, Sault is also a lavender trading center. You’ll find this in abundance near Sault. Near the town hall and the church are some nice streets and places to eat or drink. From the promenade you have a beautiful view of the Ventoux from the east side.
